I have already written to my local MP, Mr. David Rutley and am yet to receive a proper and full explanation as to why the law permits women and children to be victims of psychological violence - that being something which effects the long-term well-being of a child or a spouse. So far Mr. Rutley has provided me with a nice letter from the House of Commons in relation to a related matter but somewhat passive at protecting the vulnerable - despite his own alleged interest in anti-social behaviour.
Whether it is a chronic issue in terms of parental alienation of a child against another or the mental health issues caused against a woman when a man verbally abuses her in pursuit of control, in this section I will invite other members of the British Parliament to share with us their views on the current British legal system in relation to protecting victims from psychological violence and publish my letters to them and their comments here.
The first to be asked after Mr. Rutley is Dr Andrew Murrison MP (Trowbridge, Warminster, Westbury and other local areas).
