I learned something today from this article and it gave me some hope. At my wits end at the moment. Total despair trying to connect to an emotionless child. I got some hope from this article. Thankyou.

There is one major piece of hope at the very bottom of page 2 onwards which claims it can be repaired but it is concerning under "Common Signs and Symtoms" - particularly underdeveloped conscience (fail to show guilt, remorse or regret) and of course "Control Issues". This behaviour reminds me of a piece I read in Martha Stouts The Sociopath next door about Romainian baby adoption by the Americans in the early 80's.
The main things I get from the document include: 1. The ingredients to make a Sociopath (meaning nurture not nature) 2. Can you catch it and fix it in time? There is hope here, I like to believe it is so but it is very distressing seeing this coping style in adulthood - I need to find out more about this.
