www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-18881046because in the UK a child can be abused and an adult report it but it seems the authorities will not take a statement from a non blood relative - even if the person wanting to make the statement has been confided in by the child of the abuse. It seems expected of the child to go to the authorities and report the "relative" that is abusing them. Something is clearly wrong...
