Where there is control there is the issue of privacy. Meaning that what you type on the computer in a home may be prone to discovery by a controlling person who is sufficiently paranoid that they will install spyware on computers to capture keystrokes - to include passwords etc. Passwords to your membership to this and any other forum or clues to your on-line surfing habits. You may have found this group by a google ad or from a search engine. Suggest you use private browsing (firefox and Explorer) or in cognito for Chrome. These will NOT stop keystrokes being recorded. Use also the tips from www.womensaid.org.uk/page.asp?section=00010001000800010001to protect yourself but when I wrote this, their page was out of date. In terms of www.womensrefuge.org.uk/The quick exit button doesn't clear the url when it switches to the BBC home page. I have notified them but I only tested the behaviour on Chrome.
